The course
One of the world's great championship links, Royal Birkdale winds through towering dunes on the Southport coast. Its fairways largely occupy the valleys between the dunes, creating beautifully defined holes and a course renowned for being demanding yet exceptionally fair. Few venues in golf can match its championship history.
